Toy Drive

The holidays can be extremely challenging for the children we serve. Limited resources, parental illness, and other stressful situations make it difficult for our children and their families to celebrate. The Family Center holds an annual Toy Drive to serve hundreds of children in an effort to brighten their holidays.

The Family Center welcomes corporations, organizations, and individuals interested in participating in the Toy Drive and making our children’s wishes come true. To give a gift to a child in need, you can purchase a tax deductible item through our Amazon Wish List or request a specific number of wishes you would like to fulfill. In addition to purchasing presents, volunteers are needed to sort the hundreds of gifts donated every year in 1-2 hour shifts. For more information in participating or volunteering in the gift drive, please contact Ayesha Siddiqui through email or by calling 212-755-4522 ext. 133.

The holidays can be extremely challenging for the children we serve. Most are dealing with the loss or absence of a parent, come from families who are living well below the poverty line, and have limited resources to celebrate the holiday season with. To address this need, The Family Center holds a gift/toy drive during this difficult time to serve hundreds of children. The Family Center relies heavily on corporations and local businesses, such as yours, to help our children and families.


Holiday Party

Kids were all smiles at last year's event!

Over 300 children, parents, caregivers, family members, and volunteers attend The Family Center Holiday Party, making it our largest event of the year.

At Holiday Party, children and their parents or caregivers engage in arts projects at various craft booths, dance to the DJ’s music and play interactive games.  Families enjoy a hearty holiday dinner buffet and visit our portrait booth, where a photographer captures their fun evening together. Of course, everyone also has an opportunity to visit with Santa, the evening’s main and most jovial attraction.
