Candice is 8 years old and resides with her grandmother. She has been matched with her buddy Sharon for two years. They enjoy going to the park, playing board games, baking cupcakes, roller skating and going to museums. When asked about her favorite activity with her mentor Candice replied, “Everything I do with my mentor is fun because we do things that I never got to do before.” Similarly Sharon responded, “It’s great spending time with Candice. Almost every experience is new to her and it reminds me of how I felt when I was a kid.”
