Why we gather
A small team with a big impact
The Legal Wellness Institute (LWI) provides holistic civil legal services to New Yorkers affected by serious illness or disability. LWI helps our clients achieve housing and financial stability, access affordable healthcare, secure and formalize family relationships, and plan for the future.
LWI meets clients where they are: in homes, in hospitals, and nursing homes across New York City's five boroughs. Our attorneys and advocates are cross-trained in all of our practice areas, so interconnected legal problems get resolved quickly, without complicated referrals to outside organizations.
Our team of four attorneys and two legal services coordinators handled 1,059 cases benefitting 1,607 New Yorkers last year alone.

Buy nonprofit ticketThe exclusive museum tour is available only to the first 50 guests who purchase VIP tickets and/or sponsorship tickets. The Fraunces Tavern Museum has a limited number of tour guests it can accommodate. We will update this page as soon as all 50 tour places are claimed, so you can book with confidence. *Tours begin at 6:00 PM.
