On August 25th, The Family Center hosted a Back-to-School Picnic Celebration in Brooklyn's Von King Park. The day was filled with activities and games, and culminated in the ultimate tug of war competition. Meanwhile, children's caregivers enjoyed an afternoon of relaxing and socializing.
TFC staff and clients gratefully welcomed the support of volunteers from across the tri-state area. Volunteers came from long-time Family Center partners like The Deerfield Foundation, The Seventh District Foundation, and Winged Keel Group. The day also provided some time for the kids to socialize before starting the school year. Additionally, each family was given a gift bag, including school supplies courtesy of The Seventh District Foundation and Winged Keel Group.
