On Saturday, June 11th, volunteers from Credit Suisse Americas Private Banking team, along with their intrepid interns and a few other brave souls, ignored the dark rain clouds and hosted a picnic on Central Park’s Great Lawn for children and families receiving services at The Family Center. Despite the weather, everyone had a great time playing kick-ball, flying kites, painting faces and of course, munching on the delicious picnic-fare brought by the one-and-only Tony O’Callaghan. For many years in a row now, Tony has organized and worked with his team at Credit Suisse to host this event for our families, who look forward to it year-after-year. So telling is its success that over fifty people showed up despite the rain –proving that Tony and our generous employee volunteers from Credit Suisse make their own sunshine! On behalf of the children in our programs, The Family Center thanks Tony, our Board member and his Credit Suisse colleague Lyle, and everyone else who played a role in Saturday’s soggy yet fun picnic.
