Daniel Fennessy Memorial Fund

Ten years ago, the world tragically lost Daniel Fennessy, a beautiful, loving young man who lost his battle with cancer.  Daniel's widow Suzanna and his big, yet close-knit Irish family created The Daniel Fennessy Memorial Fund at The Family Center in order to memorialize "Danny" and preserve his precious spirit through our work with single parents, who are living in poverty and confronting a life-threatening diagnosis of cancer, all while trying to raise minor children.

Since 2008, The Daniel Fennessy Fund at The Family Center has provided expert legal, social and health services to over 2,600 cancer-affected families living below the federal poverty line and raising young children.

Danny's friends and family generously make regular donations to the Fund.  In 2015, Danny's mother Kay lost her battle with cancer and the selflessness of the Fennessy clan once again was obvious, as they thought to support the children and families of The Family Center during their time of sorrow.
