The Family Center’s very own Rose Rodriguez in the TCS NYC Marathon
The Family Center staff are experts in their fields and deliver expert services. They are also all over NYC doing amazing things!
Recently, our Childhood Development Specialist Rose Rodriguez ran the TCS New York City Marathon, finishing in less than five hours. A contingent of staff cheered Rose from the sidelines. She credits her endurance not only to hours and hours of training, but also says, “It’s true what they say -the crowd will get you through those tough miles.”
Family Center Social Worker Florie St. Aime is another staffer who’s received accolades recently. Florie was named “10 Under 10 Young Alumni Recognition” by her alma mater Adelphi University. Adelphi annually celebrates ten alumni who have graduated within the last ten years and are doing remarkable things in their communities. Click here to read Adelphi’s feature on Florie.
Louis Guzman, The Family Center’s Legal Wellness Institute Economic Justice Project Coordinator, is yet another staffer advocating on behalf of vulnerable New Yorkers. Louis facilitates The Family Center’s Economic Justice Project and leads our Leadership Council in offering financial literacy workshops to clients. This month, he is participating in “No Shave November” when men forego shaving to raise awareness about cancer and its devastating impact on community members and their families. Louis has grown an impressive beard as he raises awareness in this way!
