The Board of Directors and the Executive Staff of The Family Center are saddened to announce the passing of Barbara Blakney. Over the last 20 years, Barbara was instrumental in helping The Family Center expand and develop new service offerings that have changed the lives of over 10,000 NYC families. Barbara was a faithful member of the Board of Directors and was a member of the Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC). We thank Barbara for her commitment to bettering the lives of children and their families in NYC. Her invaluable contributions will continue to help keep families stronger, longer. We offer our heartfelt condolences to her family.
