The Family Center was thrilled to celebrate the holidays this year with an incredible roster of volunteers, Board members, Toy Drive donors, supporters, staff and of course, client families, including kids from “one to ninety-two,” as The Christmas Song goes.

Starting in early December, MAC AIDS Fund volunteers arrived at The Family Center to prepare decorations, like the backdrop for photos with Santa, and to start sorting Toy Drive donations for our children. As the holidays approached, many more volunteers from New York Life, Credit Suisse, Liquidnet, and other corporate partners helped The Family Center prepare for the culmination of our Toy Drive and holiday season: our Holiday Party for client families and their children.
Our Holiday Party for client families took place on Saturday, December 17th in Brooklyn. Children and families visited with Santa, enjoyed holiday snacks and arts & crafts, and, of course, every family took home dozens of toys, games and books. The Family Center was thrilled to provide holiday gifts to hundreds of children in attendance and many more during the days that followed, before the start of the holidays.
Everyone at The Family Center remains grateful for the selflessness of our supporters during what can be a very stressful time of year for our client families, many of whom have annual incomes below the federal poverty threshold. We are especially thankful for donations of toys and volunteer service from the following companies, groups, and organizations:
