On Sunday, September 7th, TFC Pink Ladies + Gents participated in the Susan G. Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure in Central Park. Mother Nature ensured that the weather cooperated beautifully as our team, made up of breast cancer survivors, multiple generations of their family members, and TFC staff, ran and walked the 5K in honor of all those New Yorkers diagnosed with breast cancer.
TFC remains grateful for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater NYC’s support of our work with low-income mothers confronting with this disease. While our team raced, our outreach workers represented TFC at the Race’s Education Expo, where Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater NYC grantees inform runners and walkers about their programming for breast cancer survivors and their families. We at TFC are always delighted to share our work -just as we are always excited for the NYC Race for the Cure. Can’t wait until 2015!
