On June 30, The Family Center brought the excitement of the world’s biggest soccer stage right home to Brooklyn with our World Cup & Field Day event!
Our kids spent the afternoon in full World Cup spirit, running, laughing, and competing their way through a lineup of activities that had something for everyone. Soccer matches brought out fun competition, cornhole tournaments kept things light, and jump rope contests tested speed and stamina—and even a few parents jumped in too! The energy on the field stayed high, and our kids cheered each other on just like fans in the stands of a championship match. The excitement didn’t stop when the games ended. A raffle drawing sent a few of our clients home with some incredible prizes.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our volunteers from Morgan Stanley, who came out to play, cheer, and connect with our kids all afternoon long. A special thanks to volunteer leaders Vanessa Core and Chelsea Miles, as well as our Board member, Monique Jean, and our Leadership Council member, Shamir Parmar, for getting in on the action and making the day even more memorable!
