Being Anti-Racist is Central to Trauma-Informed Care at TFC

The Family Center is thrilled to announce that our application to participate in The National Child Traumatic Stress Network's upcoming Summit has been accepted. The Summit focuses on how being anti-racist is central to trauma-informed care, the exact kind of compassionate, professional care that our social workers, attorneys and other expert staff provide to clients and their families every day.

While The Family Center has long worked at the intersection of health and racial injustice, we know that we can always improve. On September 15th, six of our staff members will virtually gather with experts from all over the country. Their goal is to create an agency-wide process for creating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion targets, and to create a road map for how to meet those targets.

We look forward to updating our community on our DEI progress following the Summit!
