On Sunday, September 9th of 2018, TFC supporters and loved ones of Yvette S. Walker gathered together in her memory for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Komen Greater NYC supports TFC year after year as we provide free counseling and legal representation to local women battling breast cancer and their families. Click here to read more about TFC's Project Talk. TFC Pink Ladies & Gents, our Race team, participates every year in honor of this partnership to help New Yorkers affected by breast cancer.
2018 was different: TFC ran, walk and raced in honor and memory of beloved supporter, devoted team member and long-time warrior in the fight against breast cancer -Yvette S. Walker.
Over 70 people rallied in Yvette's memory and TFC Pink Ladies & Gents surpassed our team fundraising goal to raise nearly $2,500!
Yvette, her fighting spirit and her loving heart, will not be forgotten at The Family Center!
