TFC Pink Ladies & Gents at the Susan G Komen Greater NYC 2015 Race for the Cure.
On Sunday, September 13th, The Family Center participated in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure Greater NYC. Our team, which consisted of clients, staff members, and their family and friends, met beforehand to take pictures and cheer on some of our youth participants, who ran in the Kids for the Cure part of the event. While some team members wore blinged-out Family Center T-shirts, others wore T-shirts memorializing their beloved friend Rosanna Guerrero, who lost her battle with breast cancer.
Since 2002, The Family Center has received support from Komen Greater NYC to serve low-income, minority women and families affected by breast cancer.
