TFC Attends the NCTSN Summit

Last month six members of The Family Center's newly created Divisity, Equity and Inclusion team attended a half-day summit hosted by The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). The summit, titled NCTSN Being Anti-Racist is Central to Trauma-Informed Care: From Awareness to Action, featured renowned author and former White House Fellow to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, Dr. Wizdom Powell. The summit focused on making organizations anti-racist while confronting the traumas that stem from racist encounters clients have experienced. The summit served as a kickoff to TFC's initiative to create a more diverse and equitable place for not only our client families but also our staff and leadership.
