The Family Center is honored to be a featured member on the National Cancer Legal Services Network (NCLSN). The first of its kind, the NCLSN website promotes awareness of existing cancer legal advocacy and the need for additional legal assistance programs for people affected by cancer.
The Family Center’s legal team provides assistance to vulnerable New York families confronting a crisis or loss, including families affected by cancer. Last year, our attorneys restored, maintained and won critical benefits for every breast cancer survivor who came to us. For example, not one breast cancer-affected client threatened with eviction lost housing. We are grateful to be a part of the NCLSN, as our attorneys and clients know first hand how vital and needed legal services are for those affected by cancer.
