The Buddy Program Visits The Staten Is Yankees

Two little buddies at the game

On Sunday, August 3rd, the Staten Island Yankees extended a big welcome to The Family Center Buddy Program.  The team donated 30 tickets so our children and their mentors could attend their game against Auburn.

Family Center children had the opportunity to lead the stadium in singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”  They also played musical chairs with the Staten Island Yankees mascot, Scooter the Holy Cow, and ran the bases at the end of the game.  In addition to complimentary tickets, families enjoyed a meal, and every Family Center attendee also returned home with a gift bag, courtesy of the team.

The Family Center is so grateful to the Staten Island Yankees that we could not be bigger fans!
